Dental whitening can be used to correct tooth discoloration. Discolorations can be caused by staining, aging, or chemical damage to teeth. Using the latest in whitening technology, we can offer a safe method for creating a beautiful “brilliant” smile.
In cases of extreme tooth discoloration, crowns or veneers may be the only choice, but because of the low cost of whitening treatments, whitening is nearly always worth a solid try.
- Corrects brown, yellow and mottled tooth staining
- Works on people of any age.
- Is a near permanent solution for a “dull” smile, restoring brightness and brings a smile alive.
In some cases, the change is nothing short of brilliant. For confidence in appearance, whitening technology allows us to promise improvements in yellowing, aging or stained teeth. For very severely stained teeth, crowns or veneers may be more appropriate.
Over the counter whitening agents are available for purchase at drug stores and pharmacies. However, since these products can cause harm to the gums and teeth, its better to use products that our practice recommends. In addition, the whitening agents that are purchased at drug stores and pharmacies are not professional strength. For best results, we recommend you choose one of our following whitening options:
Zoom ~ In-Office Whitening
The quickest, easiest way to effectively whiten your teeth is in-office treatment with Philips Zoom WhiteSpeed. Zoom WhiteSpeed is the only in-office system that has variable intensity settings so each treatment can be customized to maximize patient comfort. The system also includes desensitizers to help minimize sensitivity and protect your enamel. This dentist-supervised, in-office procedure is safe, effective and clinically proven to whiten up to eight shades-for a brighter, whiter smile in just one office visit.
Boost ~ Professional Results In About An Hour
For a brighter, whiter smile without the wait, choose Opalescence Boost, an in-office, chemically activated whitening treatment that offers results in less than an hour. It’s ideal for people who want instant whitening gratification or those who have that special event coming up that requires a bright, white smile.
Tres White is the professional alternative to over-the-counter whitening options. It’s a simple, fast, and great-tasting way to start a whitening treatment or for whitening touch-ups. With no impressions or custom trays necessary, Tres White is ready to use right out of the package!
Opal Essence Tray Bleaching:
Trays really do work, it just takes time and one needs to be very faithful about wearing the trays to get great results. We recommend wearing the trays two hours per day, not over night. It takes on average 6-8 weeks to see the final result.
An impression is taken to make a specialized “mouth guard” or “stent” to hold the bleach against the teeth. The material is used each night for about 3-4 hours for a week or two, and at the end of this time, significant whitening will occur.
